MergeUs Child Safety Standards

Effective date: September 16, 2026

Why Child Safety Warrants a Separate Statement

Risk tends to lurk where attention is least focused. For a social application built for adults, the gravest danger does not come from the product's own features; it comes from the small number of users who attempt to circumvent the age threshold and use the platform to reach minors. This document is therefore not organized along internal management lines. It is written in the order of "identify the risk — build the safeguards — cooperate in enforcement," setting out for users, parents, and regulators alike exactly where MergeUs stands on child safety and what it actually does about it.

MergeUs is open only to adults aged 18 or above. No minor may register for or use the platform. Every measure below remains in force from the effective date of this document.

A. The Risks We Have Identified

Drawing on publicly documented industry cases and our own risk-control experience, we focus on the following risk scenarios:

The moment any of these scenarios arises, it constitutes a safety incident as defined in this document, and we will not downgrade it to an ordinary violation.

B. Our Zero-Tolerance Policy

MergeUs maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or conduct involving child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE). This stance admits no exceptions, no grace period, and no variation based on the publisher's identity, location, or stated justification. No sexualized content directed at minors, no improper contact, and no grooming behavior is tolerated on the platform. Once discovered, we will proceed through the channels set out in Parts E and F below, and we reserve the right to refer the matter to law enforcement in accordance with law.

C. Expressly Prohibited Conduct

The platform strictly forbids any user from engaging in the following:

In concrete terms, no user may produce, upload, disseminate, or store any content involving child sexual exploitation or abuse. Any conduct that breaches child safety requirements will, once confirmed, be dealt with immediately — without indulgence of any kind.

D. How We Prevent Harm

Safeguards operate simultaneously at the product and operational levels:

It must be acknowledged that no technical measure is ever absolutely complete. We narrow the blind spots through continuously iterated rules and the shared vigilance of our users.

E. How to Report to Us

If you encounter a suspected minor's account on MergeUs, content involving harm to children, or harassment or grooming directed at minors, please report it through either of the following channels:

Good-faith reports are welcomed and protected. Reports concerning child safety are reviewed on a priority basis upon receipt, and we will feed the outcome back to the reporter where necessary.

F. Consequences and Enforcement Measures

Users who breach this document will face one or more of the following measures, proportionate to the severity of the conduct:

These measures may be applied in combination. Where the conduct is serious in nature, a warning will not be substituted for a ban.

G. Cooperation with Parents, Guardians, and Regulators

If a parent or guardian suspects that a minor is using MergeUs, they may contact us at service@mergeus-chat.com and provide information sufficient to locate the account concerned. After completing the necessary verification, we will restrict or close that account and handle any personal information involved in accordance with the MergeUs Privacy Policy .

We will cooperate, to the extent permitted by law, with inquiries and assistance requests lawfully made by regulators, child protection bodies, or law enforcement agencies.

H. Continuous Improvement and Contact Information

The risk landscape in child safety keeps shifting. We will continue to track legal and regulatory updates, changes to Google Play platform policy, and the evolution of industry safety standards, and will revise this document and the corresponding product mechanisms accordingly. Any update to this document will be marked with a new effective date at the top of the page.
