MergeUs Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Before We Begin
Your privacy is one of the matters we care about most. This policy has
therefore not been drafted as a one-way list of disclosures; instead, it
answers, one by one, the questions users ask most often: what is gathered,
why it is gathered, with whom it is shared, how it is safeguarded, and
what you may demand. Please read the following in full before you begin.
By registering an account, signing in, or continuing to use this
application in any manner, you are deemed to have understood and accepted
this policy in its entirety.
This policy applies to MergeUs (the "Application" or the "Platform").
Personal information is processed by the developer, Gm Sadiuzzaman,
together with the legal entity The Staffing Solution LLC.
What Information Do We Gather?
So that core capabilities — registration, messaging, matching, and content
display — function properly, information is gathered only to the extent
necessary for the corresponding feature. The information involved falls
into the four categories below:
-
Account and profile information: supplied by you, including your email
address, nickname, avatar, gender, date of birth, region, and any other
details you enter or edit. Without it, an account cannot be created and
cannot be recognized by other users.
-
Device and technical information: to identify anomalous devices, trace
crashes, and optimize performance, we record the device model, operating
system version, screen resolution, battery level, as well as CPU
architecture, memory size, storage space, and sensor information.
-
Usage and behavioral information: to judge whether features are being
used effectively, we record your daily active hours, feature usage
ranking, content preference tags, and interaction paths, together with
statistics aggregated from the foregoing.
-
Payment and transaction information: when you purchase a membership
subscription or virtual entitlement, the transaction is completed
through Google Play Billing. We receive only the order number, product
identifier, subscription status, and transaction time in order to verify
your entitlement. Your card number, payment password, and payment
verification code never enter our systems at any point.
What Is This Information Used For?
Use of information is strictly confined to the five purposes set out
below; it will not be diverted to any purpose not stated in this policy:
-
Operating the service: to complete account registration and sign-in,
message delivery, match recommendations, and content display, so that
the service performs as you expect.
-
Improving the service: to assess feature performance through aggregated
usage statistics, refine the interface and recommendation quality, and
reduce lag and errors.
-
Safety and protection: to detect fake accounts, fraudulent conduct,
spam, and violating content, thereby reducing the risk of your account
being misappropriated or harassed.
-
Customer support: to locate the problem when you submit an inquiry, a
fault report, or a complaint, and to reply with the outcome.
-
Legal compliance: to discharge obligations imposed by applicable laws,
regulations, and regulatory requirements, and to respond to lawful
requests from competent authorities.
With Whom Is Information Shared?
Your personal information is never sold, rented, or exchanged with third
parties. Information is shared only in the following necessary
circumstances:
-
Third-party SDKs and services: to support data analytics and core
capabilities, the Application integrates third-party SDKs and services,
covering categories such as data analytics, advertising placement, and
push notifications. Examples include Mixpanel (behavioral analytics),
AWS S3 (cloud storage), and SendGrid (email notification). Such
providers may process data only within the scope necessary to deliver
the relevant service.
-
Your explicit authorization: after obtaining your separate consent, we
share the relevant information within the scope you have authorized.
-
Legal and regulatory requirements: necessary information may be
disclosed pursuant to laws and regulations or the lawful requests of
judicial or administrative authorities.
-
Safety and public interest: where necessary to prevent fraud, protect
users' physical safety, or safeguard significant public interest, we may
adopt necessary information-sharing measures.
-
Change of operating entity: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or
transfer of assets, the relevant information may be transferred
accordingly, and the successor will remain bound by standards no lower
than those of this policy.
Third-party SDKs are operated independently, and their information
practices are governed by their own privacy policies. We recommend that
you also read the privacy terms of the relevant providers before using the
corresponding features.
Where Is Information Stored, and Is It Secure?
Your information is safeguarded through technical and organizational
measures consistent with industry practice:
-
Transmission security: TLS/SSL encryption is applied end to end, so that
data cannot be intercepted in transit.
-
Storage security: sensitive fields are written to disk under AES-256
encryption, with keys managed separately from business data.
-
Access control: role-based access management (RBAC) is enforced, and
data access is allocated on a least-privilege basis.
-
Auditing and drills: data access logs are retained and reviewed
periodically, while security assessments and vulnerability sweeps are
carried out on a regular schedule so that identified risks are
remediated promptly.
Information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the
purposes described above. Once that period expires, or once retention is
no longer required by law, the data is deleted, anonymized, or
de-identified so that it can no longer be traced to a specific individual.
Should a security incident occur, we will, as required by law, inform you
promptly of the circumstances and of the measures already taken.
What Rights May You Assert?
With respect to your personal information, you may assert the following
five rights at any time through the in-app settings or the email address
at the end of this page. We will respond within a reasonable period after
verifying your identity:
-
Access: to confirm whether your information is being processed and to
obtain an explanation of that processing.
-
Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete account and profile
details.
-
Erasure: to request deletion of specific personal information, or to
apply for account deletion (the deletion portal is available at the
MergeUs Account Deletion page
).
-
Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw at any time the authorization
previously granted for information processing; withdrawal does not
affect processing already carried out beforehand.
-
Obtaining a copy: to receive a copy of your personal information in a
structured, commonly readable format.
If you believe our processing practices are improper, you may also lodge a
complaint or objection with us.
May Minors Use This Application?
No. The Application provides its services exclusively to adults aged 18 or
above, and it is not directed to minors. We do not knowingly gather
personal information from minors. If, owing to an inaccurate age entry, an
abnormal system detection, or another unintended circumstance, we come to
hold information concerning a minor, then once this is confirmed we will
promptly delete the relevant data and take necessary measures to restrict
the account concerned from continuing to use the service. For the complete
arrangements on child protection, please consult the
MergeUs Child Safety Standards
.
How Will You Be Notified of Policy Updates?
This policy may be revised when product features change, the service model
evolves, or laws and regulations are updated. The revised version will be
published on this page and in the Application, with the date at the top
updated accordingly. Where a change materially affects your rights and
interests, we will give you advance notice through a prominent means, such
as an in-app prompt or an on-site notification.
